CEFA’s Richmond – Jacombs Unlocking Every Child’s Potential

My daughter attended CEFA Jacombs for around 3 years. The peace of mind I had as a parent was priceless. The staff members are all warm, friendly, and professional. They go above and beyond to provide a safe, nurturing environment for the students. The amount of learning that goes on at this establishment is unbelievable. My daughter would come home and tell me such interesting facts about science and math, etc. Very impressed with this school. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Also, Mrs Roop and Ms Dianne were amazing during this time! 

Our daughter started going to CEFA Jacombs’ Baby class right after her first birthday. We were really nervous about how she would settle in and learn to eat by herself and nap with minimal help, but her Baby B class teachers, Ms Kelly and Ms Fiona, were so amazing! They really helped her feel at home and taught her to not only be independent but also social with her friends in the class.  

Our daughter really enjoys school and learns a lot there. Teachers make circle time so fun, and our daughter learns new words and songs and comes home and teaches us the routines.  

The administration team, including Ms Grace and Ms Roop, is fabulous — very friendly and extremely approachable. All our interactions with the school have been very organized. The staff puts a lot of effort into making the experience fun and diverse for the children and parents, and celebrate a lot of fun days with decorations and events.  

I would definitely recommend the school as a wonderful place for your baby to start her academic and social journey.  

My daughter began attending CEFA Jacombs when she was two years old, and she just graduated this summer. We absolutely loved our experience here! The teachers and admins are phenomenal. They are super friendly and always carry big smiles when we enter. They create a warm and welcoming environment for the kids to learn and explore. All her teachers attend to our concerns promptly, and we are informed of our daughter’s progress frequently with regular parent-teacher meetings and casual chats. I absolutely love the Kindertales app, in which the teachers update with photos of her learning and playing, nap schedule, and what and how much she eats.  

My daughter has learned so much in this centre, not only in terms of numbers and letters, but also about making friends, showing empathy, solving problems, taking care of herself, and being independent and responsible. The learning is hands-on, play-based, and authentic. Community helpers, such as firefighters and policemen, are invited to introduce their jobs and duties. An authentic experience is better than anything from just a book.  

During Spring Festival, a team of lion dancers entertained and performed for the kids. My daughter talked non-stop about it and still thinks it is the coolest thing ever. Besides the regular curriculum, CEFA Jacombs makes it super fun, with all the fun days/spirit days, special events, and field trips. Parents are often invited to celebrate. So it’s not just a school, it’s like an extended family.  

We had such a wonderful time here, and I wholeheartedly recommend this centre to fellow parents.

My child has spent more than two happy years here, and if it weren’t for moving to another city, we really wouldn’t want to leave CEFA Jacombs. As a parent, I truly love this place.  

My child has learned a lot here and made many friends. He rarely gets sick, and I know the school has strict hygiene management.  

He loves the school’s meals and says they taste better than at home! 

The management team is very professional, and I always get great answers whenever I have questions. The teachers’ patience with the children has never given me any worries.

We feel incredibly lucky to have found CEFA Jacombs. The teachers are warm, nurturing, and truly dedicated to their work. They have a natural affinity with children and always treat them with kindness and respect. The school is well-organized, and the director and principal are deeply committed and attentive to every detail. This is a place filled with love, and over the past two years, we’ve been so grateful for the wonderful teachers and classmates our daughter has had. She is genuinely happy every single day she goes to school!

My child has been coming here for years, from Baby class all the way to graduation. All the staff and teachers have been amazing, and my child loves it here! Even though we live in Vancouver, we still continued coming here because my child loves it here that much! In addition to the CEFA theme days, there are also field trips (berry picking, pumpkin patch, Ikea visits), which are unique to this location.  

I am so impressed by how much my child has learned and grown in the past 3.5 years! The class set up and daily schedule resemble elementary school, so kids get used to that routine at a young age. The teachers also did a great job preparing the kids for kindergarten so that the transition is as smooth as possible. Thank you for a great 3.5 years, CEFA Jacombs! I am honestly sad to say bye to this amazing community of friends and families. 

Our son started attending CEFA in 2022 and recently graduated to Kindergarten. Our daughter started in JK Baby in March 2025.  

All of the teachers and support staff exude patience, kindness, and expertise in ECE. My kids were excited to go, and I was excited to see what they learned through frequent updates in the app and at the end of the day! Their program is structured, and their attention to detail has been amazing. They were well fed and cared for. Both my kids have anaphylactic allergies, and I never once worried for them.  

The administrative staff at CEFA Jacombs endeavour to include extra perks, like beautiful digital photos via Dropbox, themed events, and choreographed holiday parties.  

We continued to put up with the Knight Street Bridge from Vancouver to Richmond because CEFA Jacombs made a significant positive impact on our lives and on our children’s learning. We had an amazing experience in every aspect of care, and hope you will too!  

Our daughter had been attending for the past 3 years and has built a special bond with all of her teachers and classmates. The teachers and support staff are incredibly kind and patient with the kids in the classroom.  

She was excited to go to class each morning and attend all the special event days! Some favourite memories for her are weekly yoga, Little Chefs sessions, and the annual Christmas concert. It was great for the parents to be able to receive updates from their app. This created moments with our daughter where we could discuss how her day went (good/bad/otherwise).  

As other parents have mentioned, we didn’t mind crossing the bridge from Vancouver into Richmond because CEFA Jacombs has had such a positive impact on her.

Definitely one of the best preschools in Richmond and the Vancouver area! Both of my kids attended CEFA Jacombs from 2021 to 2026; they have had a wonderful childhood there.  

Staff: The whole staff team is very nice. Every single teacher we met is so caring and supportive. All teachers in the Baby classes can mostly speak both Mandarin and English, which really helped our kids who could only speak Mandarin before starting school at CEFA.  

Daily routine: A very structured daily routine and different attracting activities like Little Chefs, yoga, music, and science experiments, etc. This helps kids to build a clear sense of the school day agenda.  

AND teachers will share pictures and videos of your kid every day!! It beats 90% of the rest of the schools to me!  

Education: Lots of age-appropriate practice. Starting in the Baby class, they build a strong academic foundation. Many of the alumni students went on to top private schools.   

On-site chef makes 2 snacks and lunch every day, saving parents a lot of time.  

Over the past 5 years, our boys really enjoyed learning and playing here with their friends and teachers. I recommend CEFA to all families.  

I feel truly grateful that my daughter had the opportunity to attend CEFA. She thrived there and was always so excited to go each morning. We could see how much she adored her teachers, Ms Kelly and Ms Fiona, both absolute angels. Their warmth, patience, and genuine care were evident in everything they did. They didn’t just look after her; they understood her personality, encouraged her strengths, and celebrated every little milestone with us.  

She started in the Baby class at only 1 year old, and we were constantly amazed by how quickly she learned and developed. She consistently reached milestones ahead of schedule, and I know her teachers played a huge part in that. They were attentive, engaged, and always kept us connected with thoughtful updates and photos throughout the day. It gave us so much comfort knowing she was in such nurturing and capable hands.  

Like many parents, we felt the usual nerves when first sending her to daycare, but those worries disappeared almost immediately. The environment at CEFA was everything we had hoped for: warm, welcoming, and filled with people who genuinely care about the children. Everyone we met was kind, friendly, and invested in creating a positive experience.  

The Principal, Ms. Roop, and Ms. Grace were also wonderful. They were knowledgeable, approachable, and consistently went above and beyond to support both the children and the parents. Their leadership brought a sense of stability and trust that meant so much to our family.  

We’re incredibly thankful for the environment CEFA created. It gave our daughter such a strong and loving start, and we couldn’t have asked for a better early learning experience.
