CEFA’s Richmond – Crestwood Unlocking Every Child’s Potential

Our daughter has been going to this location since April 2024, and we have no complaints. We have just had amazing experiences so far. Before enrolling our daughter here at CEFA Cornerstone, we had tried 3 other places, and believe me, there is a huge difference between those places and this CEFA. They have a proper schedule, and throughout the day there are different types of activities to keep kids engaged. Our daughter is learning at a good pace, and she comes home happy every day. She even wants to go there on Saturday and Sunday.

The entire staff is very friendly, professional and accommodating. They always consider your special requests and find a way to assist you with that. Especially their main administrative officer, Gurmit and JK3 teacher Ms. Aman. Gurmit is the first contact when you want to get initial information and want to enroll. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He takes pride in what he does; it shows from the way he communicates and explains every detail. Ms. Aman has vast experience, and that shows how she handles her class. Our daughter loves her. Special shoutout to Ms. Heba and Ms. Ola as well. All 3 teachers in JK3 are doing an awesome job. They give full attention to kids and are very professional.

Overall, a great place for learning and development of kids up to age 6 years. We are happy we found this place. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

I am very happy to write positive feedback on CEFA Cornerstone. My daughter attended this fine institution, and I must say that my daughter (and we as parents) learned so much and have benefited from the curriculum at CEFA. Everyone, from the owner, reception, teachers, to the aides and staff, has welcomed our daughter and us remarkably. They are very humane and have involved the entire family in all aspects of the educational process.

I really must say that the CEFA curriculum is unique, not only involving the academics (emphasizing the children’s talents for success in Elementary school and beyond), but also in the humane way that they conduct their care for children and their well-being. I am so happy with the experience my 3-year-old is having at CEFA. Since starting there, my child has grown so much — socially, emotionally, and academically. He is learning new vocabulary, developing great social skills, and has even picked up the habit of reading, which makes me so proud!

Our experience with CEFA Cornerstone has been nothing short of amazing. From the moment we enrolled our child, we’ve felt confident that they are in a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment every day.

Our child absolutely adores going to school, and that’s largely thanks to the incredible teachers — especially Ms Jasmine and Ms Olha. They both go above and beyond to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where each child feels seen, valued, and encouraged to grow.

I would say Cefa is the best place for your child’s development. My son has been going since 1.5 years old, and we have seen lots of improvements in him. All staff are very supportive; all the teachers, Ms Olha, Nikki, Aman, Jasmine, Manpreet and others, are amazing. Mr Gurmeet always helps you out if you have any questions. Front staff is excellent, always welcoming you with a smile. Cefa helped my son build confidence & become independent. As a mom of three, choosing the right school was a big decision. My girls started in CEFA Baby and are now in JK1, and my son is in JK3. Seeing all of them grow within the same school has reassured me that we made the right choice.

My daughter has been attending CEFA for about 1.5 years since she started in the baby class. It has been a great place for her to start. Super professional but at the same time very caring and affectionate staff, engaging activities and playtime, as well as healthy, hot and cold fresh meals during her day hours. I would highly recommend it to parents looking for a good starting preschool experience for babies and toddlers and who want to be stress-free with the experience. Almost worry-free if you can get a full-time spot!

We are more than happy with our choice; for our little one, it was a first experience. Staff at Cefa are very friendly, responsible and helpful! Even though it was a weekend program for us, we can see lots of good changes in our little girl! We are glad we chose Cefa!

Our family is so grateful for this wonderful program for young children. My daughter is enrolled in the CEFA baby program. We are so happy with our decision to choose this program for her. Her teachers, Ms. Temi and Ms. Keshita, are exceptional and always delighted to see each student. They have handled my daughter’s transition, adaptation, and development very well, with patience, celebrating her milestones (such as when she started walking, eating with utensils, and holding a pencil) at just 14 months old. Communication with the teachers and administrative staff is always open and receptive (in person and by email). A special thank you to Ms. Jasmin and Ms. Karina for their kindness, affection, and willingness to talk. Please maintain this level of service, and thank you for hiring passionate teachers within the campus.

While searching for a daycare for my daughter, I toured several facilities. The moment I walked into CEFA, I knew it was the right choice. I’m so glad I decided to enroll her there. My daughter genuinely enjoys her time at daycare, and I’m continually impressed by the variety of engaging activities and learning opportunities provided.

Our CEFA journey has been nothing short of incredible! My twins attended CEFA for approximately 2.5 years, and our experience was truly exceptional from start to finish.

The education provided at CEFA is unmatched. My children are entering kindergarten with a strong foundation and understanding of the key concepts and skills outlined in the CBE curriculum. The academic preparation they received has given them a tremendous head start.

In addition to the beautiful, clean, and well-maintained facility, what truly sets CEFA apart is its staff. Every teacher we have worked with has been exceptional—caring, nurturing, supportive, and appropriately firm when needed.

Ms. Jasmin, now the Assistant Principal, was our very first teacher, and she completely blew us away with the level of care, dedication, and attention she provided. Alongside her, Ms. Thelma was an important part of our journey and has always been so kind, patient, and wonderful with the children. Ms. Jasmin and Ms. Thelma will always hold a special place in our hearts, as they have been with us from the very beginning and were a huge reason why CEFA remained our top choice throughout our junior kindergarten years.

I would also like to recognize Ms. Ana, Ms. Elvie, and Ms. Ismath, who have all been incredibly kind, caring, and supportive of my children. Every staff member we encountered was professional, compassionate, and genuinely invested in the children’s success and well-being.

Another important factor for our family was the in-house chef and the fresh meals prepared daily. While I do wish there had been a little more variety in the afternoon snack options—especially for children who may not have eaten a full lunch.

We recently celebrated CEFA graduation, and it was such a beautiful and memorable ceremony. It was the perfect way to conclude our time at CEFA and celebrate the growth and achievements of the children.

We are incredibly grateful for the love, care, education, and support our family received during our time here. CEFA has played a significant role in preparing our children for their next chapter, and we will always look back on these years with fondness and appreciation.

My daughter enjoyed the food that they served, and they don’t get hungry, so that’s good enough for me. She thinks that Kuya Chef does a good job. The classrooms are kept clean, which we like.

One small suggestion for the management would be to consider adding more shaded areas in the outdoor play space, especially during the summer months. The children spend time outside, and having additional shade structures or covered areas would make outdoor activities more comfortable and help protect them from the strong summer sun.

The study program was thoughtful and creative. My daughter became more independence and confident in herself. Thank you.

Teachers were all wonderful. What I regretted was some of the teachers didn’t work here anymore. However, the new teachers were great in their own ways, so can’t complain.

Communication was clear and quick. My questions were all answered with respectful, which I appreciated.

I may not recommend to all of my friends due to the fees, but to me, it was valuable and reasonable compared to what I received. If you are not worried about it, I would highly recommend CEFA.

My daughter attended CEFA Jacombs for around 3 years. The peace of mind I had as a parent was priceless. The staff members are all warm, friendly, and professional. They go above and beyond to provide a safe, nurturing environment for the students. The amount of learning that goes on at this establishment is unbelievable. My daughter would come home and tell me such interesting facts about science and math, etc. Very impressed with this school. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Also, Mrs Roop and Ms Dianne were amazing during this time! 

Our daughter started going to CEFA Jacombs’ Baby class right after her first birthday. We were really nervous about how she would settle in and learn to eat by herself and nap with minimal help, but her Baby B class teachers, Ms Kelly and Ms Fiona, were so amazing! They really helped her feel at home and taught her to not only be independent but also social with her friends in the class.  

Our daughter really enjoys school and learns a lot there. Teachers make circle time so fun, and our daughter learns new words and songs and comes home and teaches us the routines.  

The administration team, including Ms Grace and Ms Roop, is fabulous — very friendly and extremely approachable. All our interactions with the school have been very organized. The staff puts a lot of effort into making the experience fun and diverse for the children and parents, and celebrate a lot of fun days with decorations and events.  

I would definitely recommend the school as a wonderful place for your baby to start her academic and social journey.  

My daughter began attending CEFA Jacombs when she was two years old, and she just graduated this summer. We absolutely loved our experience here! The teachers and admins are phenomenal. They are super friendly and always carry big smiles when we enter. They create a warm and welcoming environment for the kids to learn and explore. All her teachers attend to our concerns promptly, and we are informed of our daughter’s progress frequently with regular parent-teacher meetings and casual chats. I absolutely love the Kindertales app, in which the teachers update with photos of her learning and playing, nap schedule, and what and how much she eats.  

My daughter has learned so much in this centre, not only in terms of numbers and letters, but also about making friends, showing empathy, solving problems, taking care of herself, and being independent and responsible. The learning is hands-on, play-based, and authentic. Community helpers, such as firefighters and policemen, are invited to introduce their jobs and duties. An authentic experience is better than anything from just a book.  

During Spring Festival, a team of lion dancers entertained and performed for the kids. My daughter talked non-stop about it and still thinks it is the coolest thing ever. Besides the regular curriculum, CEFA Jacombs makes it super fun, with all the fun days/spirit days, special events, and field trips. Parents are often invited to celebrate. So it’s not just a school, it’s like an extended family.  

We had such a wonderful time here, and I wholeheartedly recommend this centre to fellow parents.

My child has spent more than two happy years here, and if it weren’t for moving to another city, we really wouldn’t want to leave CEFA Jacombs. As a parent, I truly love this place.  

My child has learned a lot here and made many friends. He rarely gets sick, and I know the school has strict hygiene management.

The management team is very professional, and I always get great answers whenever I have questions. The teachers’ patience with the children has never given me any worries.

We feel incredibly lucky to have found CEFA Jacombs. The teachers are warm, nurturing, and truly dedicated to their work. They have a natural affinity with children and always treat them with kindness and respect. The school is well-organized, and the director and principal are deeply committed and attentive to every detail. This is a place filled with love, and over the past two years, we’ve been so grateful for the wonderful teachers and classmates our daughter has had. She is genuinely happy every single day she goes to school!

My child has been coming here for years, from Baby class all the way to graduation. All the staff and teachers have been amazing, and my child loves it here! Even though we live in Vancouver, we still continued coming here because my child loves it here that much! In addition to the CEFA theme days, there are also field trips (berry picking, pumpkin patch, Ikea visits), which are unique to this location.  

I am so impressed by how much my child has learned and grown in the past 3.5 years! The class set up and daily schedule resemble elementary school, so kids get used to that routine at a young age. The teachers also did a great job preparing the kids for kindergarten so that the transition is as smooth as possible. Thank you for a great 3.5 years, CEFA Jacombs! I am honestly sad to say bye to this amazing community of friends and families. 

Our son started attending CEFA in 2022 and recently graduated to Kindergarten. Our daughter started in JK Baby in March 2025.  

All of the teachers and support staff exude patience, kindness, and expertise in ECE. My kids were excited to go, and I was excited to see what they learned through frequent updates in the app and at the end of the day! Their program is structured, and their attention to detail has been amazing. They were well fed and cared for. Both my kids have anaphylactic allergies, and I never once worried for them.  

The administrative staff at CEFA Jacombs endeavour to include extra perks, like beautiful digital photos via Dropbox, themed events, and choreographed holiday parties.  

We continued to put up with the Knight Street Bridge from Vancouver to Richmond because CEFA Jacombs made a significant positive impact on our lives and on our children’s learning. We had an amazing experience in every aspect of care, and hope you will too!  

Our daughter had been attending for the past 3 years and has built a special bond with all of her teachers and classmates. The teachers and support staff are incredibly kind and patient with the kids in the classroom.  

She was excited to go to class each morning and attend all the special event days! Some favourite memories for her are weekly yoga, Little Chefs sessions, and the annual Christmas concert. It was great for the parents to be able to receive updates from their app. This created moments with our daughter where we could discuss how her day went (good/bad/otherwise).  

As other parents have mentioned, we didn’t mind crossing the bridge from Vancouver into Richmond because CEFA Jacombs has had such a positive impact on her.

Definitely one of the best preschools in Richmond and the Vancouver area! Both of my kids attended CEFA Jacombs from 2021 to 2026; they have had a wonderful childhood there.  

Staff: The whole staff team is very nice. Every single teacher we met is so caring and supportive. All teachers in the Baby classes can mostly speak both Mandarin and English, which really helped our kids who could only speak Mandarin before starting school at CEFA.  

Daily routine: A very structured daily routine and different attracting activities like Little Chefs, yoga, music, and science experiments, etc. This helps kids to build a clear sense of the school day agenda.  

AND teachers will share pictures and videos of your kid every day!! It beats 90% of the rest of the schools to me!  

Education: Lots of age-appropriate practice. Starting in the Baby class, they build a strong academic foundation. Many of the alumni students went on to top private schools.   

On-site chef makes 2 snacks and lunch every day, saving parents a lot of time.  

Over the past 5 years, our boys really enjoyed learning and playing here with their friends and teachers. I recommend CEFA to all families.  

I feel truly grateful that my daughter had the opportunity to attend CEFA. She thrived there and was always so excited to go each morning. We could see how much she adored her teachers, Ms Kelly and Ms Fiona, both absolute angels. Their warmth, patience, and genuine care were evident in everything they did. They didn’t just look after her; they understood her personality, encouraged her strengths, and celebrated every little milestone with us.  

She started in the Baby class at only 1 year old, and we were constantly amazed by how quickly she learned and developed. She consistently reached milestones ahead of schedule, and I know her teachers played a huge part in that. They were attentive, engaged, and always kept us connected with thoughtful updates and photos throughout the day. It gave us so much comfort knowing she was in such nurturing and capable hands.  

Like many parents, we felt the usual nerves when first sending her to daycare, but those worries disappeared almost immediately. The environment at CEFA was everything we had hoped for: warm, welcoming, and filled with people who genuinely care about the children. Everyone we met was kind, friendly, and invested in creating a positive experience.  

The Principal, Ms. Roop, and Ms. Grace were also wonderful. They were knowledgeable, approachable, and consistently went above and beyond to support both the children and the parents. Their leadership brought a sense of stability and trust that meant so much to our family.  

We’re incredibly thankful for the environment CEFA created. It gave our daughter such a strong and loving start, and we couldn’t have asked for a better early learning experience.  

My daughter joined CEFA Cornerstone when she was in the CEFA Baby program and had barely started walking and talking. In a short time, we saw a big difference in her confidence and development.

She is now in JK1 and absolutely loves going to school every day. She adores her teachers and friends, and the teachers have always been so caring and attentive to each child’s needs. Even now, when she sees her previous teachers, she runs to them with so much love and they greet her just as warmly.

Great location with plenty of parking at the mall. My child has so much fun here. There are lots of activities. The teachers and managers are very responsive and collaborative. My daughter is always excited to tell me about her day and her teachers. She always has lots to say about school and how much fun her day was. Highly recommend 🙂

Our daughter started at CEFA Early Learning Markham – Esna Park in the baby class, and now she has transitioned to the toddler class. It has been such a wonderful journey watching her grow in such a caring and nurturing environment!

The teachers have been absolutely amazing—kind, patient, and genuinely dedicated to the children’s well-being. Her class teachers, in particular, are so friendly and attentive, making each day exciting and full of learning. The principal is also very approachable and warm, always creating a welcoming atmosphere for both parents and children.

We recently moved to a new city and were very nervous about enrolling our 2-year-old at CEFA Cottonwood, as she was deeply attached to her previous daycare. But the teachers here have been incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming, and she has adjusted so well in just two weeks! There are a few tears at drop-off, but her days go smoothly and happily.

We chose CEFA for our 17-month-old daughter, and we don’t regret it at all. The place is new, and everything was beautifully chosen to help the children learn and grow in a great environment. The staff are very professional and friendly, and our daughter felt comfortable and happy after a few days; that’s the most important aspect of it all.

The teacher does activities that help the kids develop new skills and provide opportunities to learn new things. They also have an app that lets you follow your child’s day with everything they did, and also some pictures. It’s a very nice feature.

Our daughter has been attending CEFA Oakville for almost 7 months, and we are so happy with our decision to send her there. Both the teachers and support staff are wonderful. As a parent, they are professional, communicative, and organized, and for our daughter, they are so kind and compassionate that she’s developed a strong bond with all her teachers. The facilities are beautiful, clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed to cater to the kids’ needs. I appreciate that there is a curriculum plan (that they communicate monthly) and that they engage the kids in activities designed to support skill development. It feels like my child will graduate from CEFA set up for success at school, instead of just having attended a supervised playground during these formative years. Overall, I would highly recommend CEFA to anyone interested in a more academic approach to early learning, and considering the quality of the care, facilities, and staff, I think CEFA is a great value.

A warm, welcoming environment with motivated teachers. The facility is very clean. Small class ratios make for good learning opportunities. I felt confident enrolling my toddler here after touring more than 5 to 6 schools in Oakville.

We are so grateful for CEFA Capilano Mall. We have been parents of children at this location for almost 4 years and have the utmost respect for the instructors and staff. Everyone is so friendly, caring, and easy to communicate with. Our children have learned so much and are so interested in learning, even out of the classroom. Our daughter Elise started as a student at CEFA when she was only 15 months old, and we absolutely love it! We have seen her flourish and grow leaps and bounds since she started. Her vocabulary has increased dramatically, and she is so much more inquisitive, and seems so mature compared to her friends!

We chose CEFA because they offer a curriculum program and not just play. Even though Elise has lots of play and exploration in her day, she also is learning to read, and to write, and she is loving the STEM curriculum.

The teachers are so warm, caring and welcoming, and really take a genuine interest in our daughter and our family. Daylene, the Principal, is always smiling and greeting students and parents in the morning – it’s such a great way to start the day!

Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks are provided by their in-house chef who creates nutritious delicious meals all prepared according to the Canadian food guide, so I have no worries about her nutrition and I especially love that I don’t need to prepare anything for the day – CEFA takes care of everything, which means I have more time to spend with my daughter. Plus, she enjoys the meals so much that I’ve even asked for some recipes to make at home.

I love that I never have to worry about what Elise wears in the morning as she wears a uniform. I drop her off at school with the confidence that she will have a wonderful day and I never need to worry about her wellbeing while at work. She loves school so much that she doesn’t want to come home when I go to pick her up at the end of the day. I couldn’t ask for anything more – CEFA definitely exceeds my expectations!

It is with great pride and earnest thanks that I write this letter today. It is Bradley’s 4th birthday today and he was just accepted to Kindergarten at Mulgrave Independent School a whole year early.

When we first enrolled Bradley at CEFA it was for two reasons: to provide him with some social interaction skills and to give him a good start at an education. Our expectations were exceeded in every way.

The most telling trait of your school is his love of learning. Even on his days off he asks to be there. He’s excited about his class lessons, his friends, his teachers and about himself. He is confident, thoughtful, happy, and inquisitive. The program that you have put together fosters not just an understanding of the basic concepts such as the alphabet and numbers but problem solving, interest development, confidence building, and creativity.

The foundation that CEFA has given Bradley will benefit more than simply his academic career. It is the building blocks of exceptional character development. The preparation he has received is for more than just school, it is for life.

With confidence we recommend your school to all parents who want to develop their child’s complete potential.

As her parents, we listened with much pride, joy and gratitude as our daughter Noelie recited the poem “An Epitome of the Triad” by Cleo Victoria Stewart at CEFA’s Holiday Event. Her ability to read the poem off the sheet that her JK3 teacher, Miss Forsythe was holding, was definitely a culmination of everyone’s hard work, working in tandem, just like the poem Noelie read “Day after day the teacher toiled, with a touch that was deft and sure. While the parent labored in support, and polished and smoothed it o’er.”

We feel blessed to have been able to give Noelie the opportunity to learn at CEFA since she was 21 months old, from CEFA baby through to JK3, and thankful to the teachers for their dedication and hard work. Her acceptance into York House for kindergarten is proof once again of the high educational standards CEFA has as a preparatory preschool.

We look forward to her graduation from CEFA with bittersweet joy, and so appreciative for the joy of learning now instilled in our daughter.

In the two months he’s been at CEFA, Matthew’s progress has surprised us. We are especially surprised by our toddler suddenly developing into an independent, interactive little two-year-old who talks cheerfully and cogently about his day at school, bursts into little songs and stories he’s learned in the classroom, and who has learned to reason for himself. Some days ago he told mummy that he went to big boy school where no mummies were allowed because big boys did not need their mummies to help them do many things.

On a personal front, he has (it seems) almost overnight acquired a steady potty-going habit and a marked improvement in his self-feeding (no doubt encouraged by the clever, child-friendly, enticing food prepared by the chef).

Although we were apprehensive at first about leaving our little boy in the hands of strangers for the better part of the day, and although it was really hard in the first few weeks to separate from an anxious toddler who had never been away from mummy before, we now take him to CEFA these days quite comfortable in the knowledge that his physical needs are taken care of, his emotions considered, and his intellect encouraged.

We are also encouraged by the strong parent involvement in the school with parents contacting each other regularly to participate in field trips and other miscellaneous activities which really help to form a sense of community and involvement.

We thank you and all the teachers at CEFA for making Matthew’s first foray into schooling a fun, stimulating and nurturing one.

My husband and I would like to thank you warmly for giving our family the opportunity to attend your school, Core Education & Fine Arts. CEFA has provided a fundamental environment for my two sons, which was especially necessary since they came from a non-Canadian environment and needed to settle in, having moved 3 countries in less than two years. This was crucial for them.

The bright and lively atmosphere for learning has seen the boys develop independence and confidence in themselves, in a new place and a new country.

Having had one of my sons graduate from the CEFA program already, I have seen him achieve above and beyond the elementary curriculum he’s currently in. The transition to elementary school was very smooth.

Before CEFA, the boys had attended a year of pure Montessori, and it was found that for the self-starter student, the method had a bit more of an impact than for the child who needs more guidance and encouragement. I have two children, one of them who is quite the self-starter and did well in the Montessori environment, and the other, of a more cautious personality did not seem to progress as well.

At CEFA, they both progressed at admirable rates with both guidance and encouragement in the CEFA approach.

Having had both my sons go through the CEFA program, I definitely recommend it both for the avid student as well as for the average student. I find your method greatly benefits all children and develops them to their full potential.

It is unbelievable that it is the end of the school year already. Nicole has completed JK3 and our time at CEFA has sadly come to an end. At this time, I feel I must write to you to express my thoughts.

Firstly, I must congratulate you on creating a first-class pre-school establishment. I know (from too much previous experience) that there is nothing else out there like it. I wish we had come to CEFA much sooner. It is a wonderful professional environment, and at the same time, one which has a very friendly, easy atmosphere, in which you feel immediately comfortable.

The JK3 teaching staff have been fabulous. With great gentleness and kindness, they fostered an environment of learning that was fun, stimulating and safe. At the same time, they helped guide the children towards an appreciation of higher social values – I find support in this area critical. I admired how the teacher’s, guided by the students’ interests, undauntedly tackled more advanced topics (e.g. the solar system) and achieved incredible success. Nicole’s retention of the facts was amazing, and she loved to recount at home what she had learned! We also very much appreciated the genuine interest the teachers displayed in Nicole’s progress.

We enjoyed the many “extras” CEFA provides, especially in the area of parental support. In particular, we appreciated the extended hours to accommodate working parents’ schedules, and providing meals for the children. Chef Tobin is to be commended on the child-friendly, yet nutritious food he prepares.

Last, but not least, let’s examine the product: Simply stated, Nicole has had a wonderful year. She was eager to get to school each day, and never failed to say “I had a great day” whenever I picked her up. She has made great strides intellectually and emotionally in the past year. Nicole will be a young, yet confident Kindergartener. We know she is well prepared.
